About the Role:

As a Construction Project Manager at Dennis Group, you will oversee the daily operations of our construction activities, ensuring the successful completion of our food and beverage process facilities projects. Your responsibilities will include coordinating sub-contractors, site safety programs, project schedules, and budgets. You will work closely with our engineering groups and designers/architects to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with project management to develop and update project scopes, budgets, and schedules
Manage project accounting, budgeting, and cost management
Establish and maintain site safety procedures with our safety team
Oversee process, mechanical, and utility equipment installations
Coordinate permitting, code, and regulatory administration and approval
Manage change orders and general construction administration
Coordinate field engineering and inspection activities
Manage third-party testing, inspection, and relationships
Research construction management best practices
Collaborate with owners, sub-contractors, building officials, and our A/E team to ensure project success
Prepare and administer third-party agreements
Conduct jobsite walks/audits to ensure project progress and sub-contractor compliance
Procure project services and equipment (rentals, PPE, etc.)
Manage project punch-list inspection
Promote continuous and productive communication between project participants
Other tasks as assigned
Support and coordinate facility start-up
Prepare and maintain project reports and logs
Work with sub-contractors to ensure schedule compliance and determine alternative resources or options
Review and maintain submittals, RFIs, and change orders
Collaborate with Project Controllers and Project Manager on responsibilities involving supplier invoices and client billing
Coordinate project close-out activities
Maintain site safety and ensure compliance with regulations

About You:

We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong background in construction management. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field and a GPA of 3.0 or above. Familiarity with design-build construction methods is strongly preferred. You should have good communication and presentation skills, as well as strong technical, organizational, and managerial skills. Past job site experience working on industrial building projects is also preferred. You should be able to read and interpret construction documents, schedules, and budgets, and have proficiency with Excel and MS Project.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, as well as prolonged periods of standing and walking around the project site with uneven surfaces. You must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of the jobsite in all types of weather, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching. You may be exposed to characteristic construction site dangers and must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite. You must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Travel Requirements:

This is a site-based position with a 10 days on/4 days off work schedule. Projects typically last from 6 to 12+ months, and you may be required to travel up to 100% overnight based on project needs. Meal and lodging per diems are provided, as well as reasonable travel provisions.
