Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Trust and Estate Litigation Paralegal to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our litigation team, you will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters, including managing the administration of trusts and estates, preparing and filing court documents, coordinating with clients and other parties, and conducting legal research.

Responsibilities
  • Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation cases from onset to post-trial.
  • Coordinate with clients, court personnel, and other attorneys to ensure seamless communication and timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support legal proceedings, formulate defenses, or initiate legal action.
  • Administer estates and trusts, including drafting, filing, and serving related probate court documents.
  • Handle all aspects of the probate process, including preparing and filing documents required to probate wills.
  • Conduct and coordinate the orderly and timely management of assets and liabilities of trusts.
  • Assist with depositions, interrogatories, and discovery requests and responses.
  • Prepare for and attend trials, organizing evidence and witnesses, preparing exhibits, taking notes, and handling logistical details.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date case files and billing information.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as filing papers, answering telephone calls, and maintaining and organizing files.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Trust and Estate Litigation Paralegal.
  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field. A paralegal certificate is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of probate administration, trust administration, and depositions.
  • Proficiency in using legal database software and platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and report-generating skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare reports, memos, and legal documents.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to providing superior service to clients and willingness to go the extra mile.
