Job Title: Cost Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Accountant to join our team at TechPro Power Group (All). As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for tracking and managing project costs, performing POC calculations, and maintaining WIP schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project costs, including labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses.
  • Perform POC calculations and maintain WIP schedules.
  • Work closely with project managers to develop accurate cost estimates and financial plans.
  • Collaborate with Billings, Accounts Payable, and Payroll teams to ensure timely and accurate cost tracking.
  • Prepare and analyze detailed cost reports, including cost analysis, profit margins, and cost-to-complete projections.
  • Review contracts and change orders to ensure accurate cost tracking and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Analyze cost variances and investigate discrepancies.
Requirements:
  • Degree in accounting, business, or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of construction accounting required.
  • 5-7 years' of related experience required with 2-3 years in construction and/or manufacturing accounting a plus.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
