About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Texas Children's Hospital. As a Surgical Technologist II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our surgical team to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working order.
  • Assist the surgical team with patient care, including positioning, draping, and maintaining a sterile field.
  • Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team, ensuring a seamless and efficient surgical experience.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills in surgical technology.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
Requirements
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST-SUR) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital setting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.
