Mining Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mining Engineer to join our team at Vulcan Materials Company. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient extraction of aggregates and other construction materials.
Key Responsibilities:- Gather and analyze mine planning data to design 3D mine plans and mining/stripping schedules.
- Analyze and document land use information to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Generate and maintain site plans and maps to track mine development and reserve estimates.
- Monitor mine development and identify potential challenges to ensure optimal operations.
- Ensure compliance with permit conditions, laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Prepare presentations, documents, and reports to communicate mine plans and progress to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field (Geology, Geological Engineering, or Civil Engineering).
- At least 5 years of experience in geology, mining engineering, or operations.
- Knowledge of basic mining engineering and geologic concepts, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
- Proficient skills in 3D-CAD design, Excel, Carlson, and other computer-related software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with VMC personnel and government agencies.
