Key Position Details:
0.90 FTE (72 hours per two-week pay period). 12-hour Night shifts; Every 3rd weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).

Role Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will assist in delivering patient care, which includes:
  • Providing personal care such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and transporting patients.
  • Collecting and documenting vital signs and other patient observations.
  • Responding promptly to patient call lights for both assigned and other patients.
  • Setting up and distributing water, snacks, and patient trays, as well as assisting patients with their needs.
  • Supporting patients with mobility, transfers, positioning, and range of motion exercises as per their care plan.
  • Implementing fall prevention strategies as outlined in the care plan.
  • Assisting the RN with admission, transfer, discharge, and post-mortem care.
  • Transporting medications (excluding controlled substances) within the facility.
  • Observing and documenting health status data as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
  • Be at least 18 years of age OR 17 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Have successfully completed a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program OR completed one semester of clinical rotations in an accredited nursing program OR completed the Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy Program OR have previous direct patient care experience.

Licenses/Certifications:
Must meet one of the following requirements:
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross.
  • Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire.

Physical Demands:
Medium Work: Lifting weights up to 32 lbs. occasionally (following Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), and up to 25 lbs. frequently.
