Aircraft Technician Senior

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Technician Senior to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance in the performance of various operational, functional tests, and repairs of avionics/electronic aircraft equipment and systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in avionics and electrical systems, with experience in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing system discrepancies. They will also possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to define and implement process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising Safety or Quality.
The Aircraft Technician Senior will be responsible for:
- Providing technical expertise and guidance in the performance of various operational, functional tests, and repairs of avionics/electronic aircraft equipment and systems.
- Developing and implementing process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising Safety or Quality.
- Leading and mentoring a team of technicians to ensure a defect-free aircraft.
- Ensuring quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshooting, and teaching troubleshooting processes to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in avionics and electrical systems, with experience in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing system discrepancies. They will also possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to define and implement process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising Safety or Quality.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Six (6) years experience in an avionics/electrical career field; or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and four (4) years related experience.
- A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
- Other FCC License preferred.
- Other NCATT preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of other aircraft systems or disciplines other than avionics, such as hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental controls, or structural installations and repairs.
- APU run qualification and engine run qualification preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
