Position Overview

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be an integral part of our Healthcare Systems & Services team, providing essential diagnostic and therapeutic services using radionuclides.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver compassionate care to patients during clinical procedures.
  • Ensure accurate patient identification by verifying two identifiers and reviewing procedure orders.
  • Act promptly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Gather relevant patient history and assess for any procedural contradictions.
  • Operate and maintain necessary auxiliary equipment for procedures.
  • Communicate clearly with patients and their families, preparing them for procedures.
  • Select and administer appropriate radionuclides/medications in the correct dosages.
  • Prepare instruments, computers, and imaging protocols as per departmental guidelines.
  • Implement ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure during clinical duties.
  • Evaluate imaging results and perform additional views as necessary.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine technology program.
  • At least one year of experience in nuclear medicine.

Required Certifications:

  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry.
  • ARRT (CT) certification.
  • CPR certification and ARRT(N) or NMTCB registration.
  • SCRQSA License.
Desired Skills and Attributes
  • ARRT certification in Radiology is preferred.
  • Experience with Philips equipment is advantageous.
  • Required experience in SPECT/CT.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Basic proficiency in computer operations.
  • Familiarity with office equipment such as fax machines and copiers.
  • Proficient in database management and data entry.
  • Strong mathematical abilities.
  • Solid foundation in physics and chemistry.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety equipment.
