  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and sanitize kitchens and restrooms, using established practices and procedures.
  • Floor Care: Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers; replace light bulbs; refill kitchen and restroom dispensers.
  • Event Support: Assist with setting up facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, and events.
  • Specialized Cleaning: Strip, clean, buff, and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
  • Tool Maintenance: Use and maintain power equipment and hand tools, buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high-pressure washers, high-speed buffers, and vacuums.
  • Walls and Equipment: Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required.
  • Security: Lock and unlock assigned buildings; secure buildings when facilities are not in use; check for unlocked doors and windows; report any unauthorized occupants; turn off lights.
  • Chemical Use: Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies, and use as directed.
  • Incidental Tasks: Perform cleaning and related activities, such as removing snow or debris from sidewalks, stairs, and assigned areas, using hand-operated tools or small power equipment.
  • Moving Equipment: Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools on an incidental basis.
  • Window Cleaning: Wash accessible interior and exterior windows; clean blinds.
  • Supply Management: Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; keep assigned storage areas clean and organized.
  • Reporting: Report the presence of animals, vermin, or insects; water leaks and other maintenance needs; any noticeable health and safety hazards; any need for cleaning supplies or equipment repair in advance.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Minimum of 0+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of proper cleaning methods, techniques, and procedures.
  • Communication: Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Chemical Use: Ability to comply with all cleaning chemical and equipment use instructions.
