Acuity International seeks a skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide medical services for on-site clinic health units or events. This temporary position requires a strong ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical services at the scope and level of a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to preserve the health of employees and client personnel.
  • Systematically assess urgent or emergent health needs, analyze data, and formulate a plan of care with other medical team members.
  • Recognize and treat illnesses and injuries according to established operating instructions within the scope of licensure and regulations.
  • Record and maintain patient information in accordance with standard protocols and the Privacy Act.
  • Identify and record signs and symptoms of physical and mental conditions.
  • Exercise skill in initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making daily.
  • Protect patients' privacy through confidentiality, infection control procedures, and proper storage and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure integrity and security of all privacy laws.
  • Respond to inquiries of varying complexity using knowledge and understanding of established policies, procedures, and practices for safeguarding information.
  • Maintain professionalism, ethical standards, discretion, candor, privacy, and confidentiality of all company proprietary information.
  • Perform duties in a safe manner and follow the corporate safety policy.

Qualifications:

  • Nurse Practitioner, Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) State License and the ability to be favorably credentialed. Must have 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • ACLS and BLS certification.
  • Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required.
  • Ability to perform duties in a stressful and high-paced environment without physical limitations.
  • Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.
  • Willingness to travel in the U.S. as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years' ER-Triage, Infection Control, or Critical Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Due to varied current global health climate, additional personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines may apply.
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • May require bending, stooping, and lifting as required for patient care and transport.
