Responsibilities

Deliver social work and case management services for assigned cases, adhering to all relevant contractual and regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.

Key Duties Include:

  • Manage all cases within your assigned caseload, providing comprehensive case management, including social casework, engagement, mentoring, and community referrals.
  • Gather, evaluate, and document pertinent data and client progress. Ensure timely completion of documentation, reports, statistics, and assignments.
  • Collaborate with referral sources, agencies, institutions, and individuals involved in the client's life.
  • Prepare for and attend all scheduled court hearings related to your caseload.
  • Oversee intake and initial placement services for newly referred cases.
  • Coordinate placement arrangements with caregivers, including necessary transportation for children.
  • Offer intensive supportive casework services to the child, birth family, and caregiver during initial placement and transitions.
Qualifications

Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Preferred: Licensed by the State of Michigan.
  • CWTI Certification (Required)

Experience:

  • Preferred: At least one year of experience in child welfare.

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability for a 24-hour support system for clients, foster, and adoptive parents as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable personal transportation suitable for safely transporting clients; proof of current automobile insurance.
