As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator ICU, you will work in collaboration with other members of the management team to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care. Your responsibilities will include:

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with admission and discharge processes to ensure smooth transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participating in ongoing assessments of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other management team members.
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and exceptional service.
  • Supporting a patient-first philosophy and engaging in service recovery when necessary.
  • Supporting engagement initiatives by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other programs.
  • Providing recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
  • Assisting with staff scheduling and managing all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
Requirements
  • Must hold a current license from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact license with eligibility to practice in Virginia.
  • Associate's degree in nursing; BSN preferred.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required upon hire.
  • ACLS required within 6 months post-hire.
  • Minimum 2 years clinical experience.
  • Minimum 2 years charge nurse experience.
