Job Description

Charles Industries, LLC. is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our production floor. This role ensures that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and within the set quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Team Supervision: Provide guidance and support to a team of production workers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to perform their duties effectively.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet the required standards and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies, and investigate any incidents or accidents.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing engineers, procurement, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Performance Metrics: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Experience: Three years of production experience, with a minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, and experience with lean manufacturing principles.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Regularly required to bend, reach, stoop, stand, and/or walk for extended periods.
  • Occasionally required to climb ladders.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • Regularly work near moving, vibrating, mechanical equipment, occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Exposed to minimal risk of electrical shock.
  • The noise level is moderate.
