Battery Installation Technician Role

At STEAM Connect, we are seeking a skilled Battery Installation Technician to join our team in the renewable energy sector. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality in every project.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform physical installations of battery energy storage systems, including mounting, wiring, and configuring equipment according to design specifications and safety standards.
  • Connect batteries to inverters, monitoring systems, and other electrical components, ensuring proper wiring, grounding, and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Evaluate installation sites to determine suitability for battery systems, identifying necessary structural or electrical upgrades before installation.
  • Safely handle and transport battery systems and related equipment, using proper lifting techniques and tools to prevent damage and ensure safety.
  • Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of battery systems to ensure proper operation and performance.
  • Perform detailed quality checks to verify all components are securely installed and operational, promptly addressing any issues or discrepancies.
  • Follow strict safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards, reporting any safety concerns immediately.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or equivalent.
  • English proficiency: A2/B1 certification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in battery installation or related fields is preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical wiring and basic construction principles.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
Additional Requirements:
  • Clean immigration record with the United States.
  • No criminal record.
  • Ability to pass a medical screening and anti-doping test.
