Requirements:

  • Current Dental Hygienist License: Hold a current dental hygienist license in Maryland and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required).
  • Excellent Working Knowledge: Possess excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening, and medical history documentation.
  • CPR Certification: Hold current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience:

  • New Graduates and Seasoned Hygienists: Both new graduates and seasoned hygienists are welcome to apply.
  • Experience with Velscope and Diagnodent: Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays, and electronic medical record systems is a plus.
  • Desire to Learn and Grow: Demonstrate a desire to continue learning and growing clinical skills to meet the needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to Perform Essential Duties: Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • Prolonged Sitting and Standing: Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
  • Virtual Training Sessions: Availability to attend virtual training sessions (or in-person) periodically throughout the year.
