Perimeter Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Intake Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our admissions department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient intake process for patients in need of our services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the process of receiving and scheduling in-bound calls and referrals for patients in need of our services.
- Support members of leadership in implementing systematic processes for departmental goals and objectives.
- Review assessments and verify insurance information in real-time to facilitate hospital admission placement.
- Collaborate with the business office staff to verify benefits and initiate calls to physicians and other related tasks as directed by the Case Manager.
- Determine the need for Releases of Information and process them accordingly, per policy.
- Assist in obtaining necessary records and information.
- Arrange disposition and community resources, communicating with the designated Treatment Coordinator as indicated.
- Maintain accurate statistics and provide support to the Outcome Study and other data, as assigned.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, practicing good standards of customer service.
- Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a variety of patient populations, including adults and senior adults.
- Valid RN license with the State of Texas.
- Experience in behavioral health assessment and/or treatment.
- At least one year of previous experience in an acute behavioral health hospital preferred.
