Position Summary: The Facility Maintenance Specialist is tasked with executing cleaning responsibilities, performing minor repairs, and fulfilling various other duties to ensure that the premises are kept in a hygienic, secure, and orderly condition. Familiarity with or eagerness to learn effective cleaning methods is crucial. Candidates must be able to pass a Federal Background check.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dispose of waste and replace liners, clean waste containers as necessary.
  • Dust and sanitize all furnishings, fixtures, and flat surfaces as needed.
  • Vacuum carpeted areas and mop tile and concrete floors as required.
  • Wash, disinfect, and replenish supplies in all restroom facilities, including floors, toilets, and dispensers.
  • Clear trash from all washrooms, clean mirrors, walls, and partitions.
  • Clean window sills and windows.
  • Report and/or perform minor maintenance repairs and address any damages.
  • Keep janitorial closets organized, clean, and safe.
  • Ensure janitorial equipment is maintained in a clean, safe, and functional state.
  • Adhere to proper labeling, dilution, and application of all cleaning chemicals.
  • Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.
Physical Requirements: The Facility Maintenance Specialist role is physically demanding, requiring regular walking, standing, bending, and lifting of heavy items.
