Housekeeping Coordinator

The Housekeeping Assistant is a vital member of our team at Columbus Colony for Elderly Care, responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive environment for our residents. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of general housekeeping/cleaning duties in various areas of the community, including offices, resident rooms, common areas, and facilities.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure a high level of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Restock supplies, including soap, towels, and cleaning products, as needed.
- Empty and clean waste baskets, and replenish liners as necessary.
- Assist with terminal cleaning duties, including preparing rooms for new residents and following established procedures for isolation units.
- Perform emergency housekeeping duties as needed.
- Work with other housekeeping assistants, elderly residents, families, and healthcare staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and speak the English language.
- Ability to operate and utilize basic housekeeping equipment and supplies.
- Accountability: Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions.
- Communication, Oral: Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
- Communication, Written: Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.
- Honesty/Integrity: Ability to be truthful and credible in the workplace.
- Initiative: Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve problems or reach goals.
