Key Responsibilities

  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries
  • Monitor and maintain the sales floor area, including the Self-Checkout area
  • Proactively seek product knowledge to provide customers with information and identify sales opportunities
  • Follow all policies and procedures to ensure that shrink is minimized

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Assist in the supervision, coaching and training of other sales associates
  • Participate in the training of new sales associates
  • Utilize all available tools to coach and develop other sales associates

Requirements

A Head Cashier will position sales associates and support them by expediting price checks, approving transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They provide first level escalation for customer issues and assist in the supervision, coaching and training of other sales associates.

Preferred Qualification

The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of sales experience.
