About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Siemens Energy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting up and testing compressors, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Testing: Set up and test compressors, ensuring that they meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks on assembled compressors to ensure that they meet the required standards.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory of components and materials, ensuring that they are properly stored and organized.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the test engineering group to monitor and run compressor testing, and with management and engineering to refine assembly best practices and train less experienced technicians.
  • Measurement and Documentation: Perform measurements and adjustments as necessary for correct tolerances, record measurements for review, and document all work performed.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required, and notify management and engineering of any issues or deviations from print.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in assembly of rotating equipment manufacturing.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of Siemens Energy Turbomachinery rotating equipment assembly, including development and interpretation of technical assembly instructions, build methods, and sequencing of core compressor internals and auxiliaries.
  • Authorization: Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
