Job SummaryThis PRN position consists of 12 shifts per quarter (3 month period) with 4 of those shifts being weekend shifts.
As a Patient Care Technician PRN Float Pool, you will provide patient-related care tasks based on the principles of growth and development across the life span of patients served in your independent unit.
Responsibilities- Assist, observe, and report patient changes to licensed caregivers and maintain accurate medical record documentation relative to the care delivered.
- Provide and collaborate direct patient care services under the direct supervisor of a licensed caregiver.
- Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs, intake and output, ambulation, interventions, and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed under supervisor of nurse.
- Address and/or direct questions or concerns from patients, families, caregivers, or healthcare team members.
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
