As a Medical Assistant in HonorHealth's Float Pool, you will provide general front and back office support to professional staff, ensuring a seamless patient experience. Your role will involve escorting patients to exam rooms, maintaining clean and well-stocked exam rooms, and providing quality phone service by scheduling patients or referring callers to the appropriate party.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of a Provider, you will perform a variety of duties in connection with the examination and treatment of patients. This may include preparing treatment rooms for examination, escorting patients to the examining room, obtaining a brief history, documenting chief complaints, taking vital signs, and prepping patients for exams. You will also assist the physician/clinician on exams and any special procedures, may travel to off-site locations to perform diagnostic testing, and administer and record injections and TB testing under the supervision and order of the physician.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a High School Diploma or GED, completion of a MA training program, and a current Fingerprint Clearance card. You will also need to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and be able to work in a team model to improve the patient's experience, create better communication and access to care, and support processes that will improve patient satisfaction.
