Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Hospice Care team. As a Hospice Registered Nurse, you will provide patient-centered care to individuals and their families, focusing on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with serious illnesses, including pain and symptom management, wound care, and medication management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and develop strategies to address these needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and transitions.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices in hospice care and palliative medicine.
- Current registration with North Carolina State Board of Nursing as a registered professional nurse OR current compact RN licensure in participating state required.
- BLS (or higher) certification required.
- Professional specialty certification (preferred).
- Graduation from an accredited Bachelors Degree in Nursing (or higher), Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program is required.
