Data Analyst/Programmer

The Delaware County Intermediate Unit is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst/Programmer to provide support in all aspects of Child Accounting and PIMS. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate student information, creating and supporting various databases, and writing custom reports for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Compile and maintain a wide variety of information, files, and records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines.
Communicate with internal and external clients to understand and resolve client needs and issues.
Coordinate all database activities, including Student Information, Applications, Enrollment, Parent Portal, Scheduling, Attendance, Grading, PIMS, and PaSecureID, to track participation, compliance, and issues.
Perform other related duties as assigned, including analyzing and problem-solving daily, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Maintain various systems and processes, including Student Information System, Special Education System, Application System, Parent Portal, Scheduling, Grading, PIMS, and others, to ensure accuracy.
Develop web-based data collection tools and training materials for various processes, including PIMS, Enrollment, Scheduling, and others, to collect data in a consistent manner throughout the organization.
Work with outside vendors to coordinate software releases, training, and updates to keep software up to date and compatible with the network.
Design custom reports and new databases to meet users' needs and support the organization.
Maintain, modify, and support various databases, including School Age, Early Intervention, Options, and others, to keep them current and applicable for the intermediate unit.
Attend user group meetings and state conferences, including ACAPA and EPAITDM, to stay current on state requirements.
Research assigned topics, including current practices, policies, education codes, and others, to provide information that addresses school operations.
Provide orientation, training, mentoring, and support to departments regarding procedures and program requirements, including software and concepts, databases, and daily activities, to ensure efficient processing in compliance with department and district policy and established regulatory guidelines.
Create and maintain user accounts and access to various systems and platforms.
Requirements
Associate's and/or vocational school degree with study in a job-related area or equivalent work experience.
Successful completion of PIMS DQC Track by the end of the first year of employment.
Preferred: Entry-Level PIMS Administrator DQC Certificate, Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related area.
Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
Minimum of two years of related experience.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet.
Interpersonal skills, including the ability to foster teamwork and motivate/coach others.
Ability to make optimum decisions under pressure and time constraints.
Teamworking skills to collaborate with team members and customers.
Time management and organizational skills to manage various tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to relate to and function effectively with people of varying backgrounds and positions.
Ability to communicate effectively and possess a positive and professional attitude toward duties and responsibilities.
