We are seeking a skilled CNC Programming Specialist to enhance our operations. In this capacity, you will be responsible for developing software that ensures our CNC and milling machines function optimally and yield high-quality products. At ADDMAN Engineering LLC, you will be part of a dedicated and expanding team at the forefront of aerospace and additive manufacturing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain all programming for the production floor, utilizing MasterCam software.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Manufacturing Engineers to assess requests for quotes, ensuring programs are feasible and cost-effective for both clients and the organization.
  • Engage with Project Managers, Manufacturing Engineers, vendors, and other stakeholders to collect essential information for new projects.
  • Oversee the workflow of jobs within the department and confirm data accuracy before release to production.
  • Coordinate with operational and engineering teams to troubleshoot any programming challenges.
  • Potentially create programs for touch probe programming for on-machine inspections and coordinate adjustments. Assist in establishing standard procedures for touch probing.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Dedication to a safety-first culture, prioritizing safety before commencing any task.
  • Proficient in MasterCAM and SolidWorks.
  • Experience with 5-axis and/or Swiss programming.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks assemblies and optimizing parts into billets for machining part families.
  • Knowledge of fixture concepts and designs.
  • Experience with verification software such as Vericut, including machine simulation, verification, graphics capturing, and multi-operation processes.
  • Proficient in maintaining postprocessors for various machines and control types.
  • Experience with touch probe macro programming and adherence to standards and procedures for safe probe usage on the production floor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of a related two-year vocational program and three years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Able to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities to meet customer expectations.
  • Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and completing tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to collaborate on cross-functional teams to support core business objectives, ensuring timely delivery of quality products.
  • Proficient in computer applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • A team player with a willingness to acquire new skills and knowledge.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position requires exposure to manufacturing areas where personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes, is mandatory.
  • Generally, ambient temperatures and standard plant lighting are present throughout the facility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to sit or stand as necessary.
  • Walking primarily on level surfaces for extended periods.
  • Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to access documents or store materials during the workday.
  • Proper lifting techniques are essential.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces while adhering to safety protocols.
