Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Unit Assistant to provide high-quality patient care and support services in our healthcare team. As a Unit Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining patient records, unit supplies, and equipment, while also serving as a facilitator for communications within the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide clerical support, including answering phones, responding to emails, and performing other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Assist with patient care activities, such as vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care, under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the nursing staff or management.

Requirements:

  • Current Georgia Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing Course if a nursing student.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with reading, writing, and math skills at a 10th grade completion level or higher.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a healthcare setting, with on-the-job training provided in hospital practices and procedures.
