Software Engineer

Northrop Grumman is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Configure, deploy, and administer commercial and open-source software factory software.
- Work as part of an Agile development team to deliver end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management framework.
- Develop code to aid in administration of the software factory.
- Provide end-user support to software factory suite of applications.
- Monitor, address, and resolve production software factory application incidents and reports.
- Interfacing, collaboratively, with other development and administration teams inside of Corporate.
- Maintain strong expertise and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and products.
- Provide best practice, recommendations, and guidance to manage software factory operations at scale.
- Bachelor's degree in STEM with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or 0 years of experience with a Master's degree in STEM; or 6 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Administration experience with Linux or related operating systems.
- Ability to work well in a virtual team environment, with team members located throughout the country.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in an Agile software development framework.
- Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills-Server/Client Software installation experience.
- Understanding of core IT competencies (Networking, Servers, DBs, Apps, certs).
- Experience programming in scripting languages (Python, Java).
- Active DoD Secret clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Must have the ability to obtain Special Program Access.
- Manage containers using container orchestrator Docker, Kubernetes (K8s) preferred.
- Experience of automating tasks using Ansible and/or Terraform.
- Working practices, such as Git Branching and release schedules.
- Administration experience with Postgres.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Experience of administering virtualized or containerized systems in VMWare and Docker.
- Experience of designing, deploying, and administering cloud-based solutions such as Amazon Web Service (AWS).
