Job Summary

KEMRON Environmental Services, Inc. is an Employee-Owned company seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team. As a Laborer, you will perform tasks involving physical labor on environmental remediation and construction projects. Your duties will include operating a variety of hand and power tools, cleaning and preparing sites, digging trenches, and removing waste materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform manual labor in environmental remediation construction projects, including shoveling contaminated material and fine grading fill to specified grades.
  • Clear and grub areas, operate chain saws safely, and fall trees safely.
  • Excavate and fill trenches and ditches, and maintain a clean job site by picking up tools and equipment and securing the site each day.
  • Load and unload trucks, haul and hoist materials, and drive onsite pickup trucks.
  • Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, and bring problems to the attention of the Foreman, Safety Director, Project Manager, or HR Manager.
Requirements
  • 40-hour OSHA Hazardous Waste worker training (KEMRON will provide training course if needed).
  • Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
  • Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions.
  • 8-hour refresher training as required by OSHA.
  • 3-5 years minimum experience required.
Work Environment

Regularly works in outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity, exposure to dust, asphalt, and hazardous materials. Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue, and quickly move arms and legs. Excellent stamina is required.

Special Requirements
  • Must possess a valid and appropriate state driver's license with no active violations within the previous three years prior to employment and have a good driving history approved by KEMRON's insurance carrier for driving Company vehicles.
  • Must understand and sign-off on Corporate and worksite Health and Safety Plan(s).
