  • Required Qualifications:
    • Education:
      • No specific educational requirements.
    • Licensure/Certification:
      • No specific certifications required.
    • Experience:
      • Preferred: Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Adheres to the Code of Conduct and compliance policies, taking necessary actions to address compliance issues and report any suspected violations.
    • Conducts cleaning of both occupied and vacated patient rooms as well as examination areas.
    • Ensures cleanliness of all ancillary spaces within the assigned patient care unit.
    • Responds to emergency cleaning requests as directed by the Environmental Services Department.
    • Maintains sufficient cleaning supplies throughout the shift.
    • Restocks paper and other necessary supplies as required.
    • Organizes and cleans the cart and storage area at the end of each shift; returns any borrowed equipment.
    • Informs Supervisor if unable to complete cleaning of assigned areas.
    • Communicates any maintenance issues to the Environmental Services department secretary.
    • Disposes of sharps containers when they are three-quarters full and replaces them with new, clean containers.
    • Maintains assigned areas in accordance with all departmental guidelines and protocols.
    • Performs additional duties as assigned.
