Automotive supplier of plastic injection parts with a manufacturing plant in Howell, MI is seeking controls engineer to work on the production floor.
Description:
As part of the Novares team, you will support the production floor with the operation of automated and semi-automated assembly equipment, tackling issues as they arise during daily operation.
Responsibilities Include:
- Improves manufacturing processes and computer systems by automating specific parts to work independently and automatically
- Revises existing technology to require less human interaction
- Monitors the performance of the implemented changes
- Delivers automated solutions and software processes
- Works closely with other teams to discover and remove problems by implementing process automation
- You will also troubleshoot component parts, including vision systems, control components, photosensors, PLCs, and other vital technology.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience of Automation Engineering, or other relevant experience
- Programming PLC's
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Understanding of HMI/PLC debugging
- Strong troubleshooting background
You'll stand out if:
- you have experience with Allen Bradley PLC's
- you have any exposure to RSLogixs 500, 5000, and studio 5000 programming
- you have prior experience with Fanuc or Wittmann robotics
