Position Overview

The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for gathering precise demographic, financial, and clinical data to input into the healthcare system, establishing comprehensive medical and financial records. This role involves applying financial criteria to assess and collect patient responsibilities while performing additional assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately and efficiently registers patients to maintain data integrity and support claims processing.
  • Implements financial screening protocols to ensure compliance with collection procedures for the designated facility.
  • Aims to enhance patient throughput through prompt and courteous service.
  • Achieves assigned objectives and targets.
  • Undertakes other responsibilities as required, including health screenings.
Qualifications and Experience

Education

Preferred: Associate's degree or completion of two years of college coursework.

Minimum: Proficient in clear and effective communication in standard English, both written and verbal, to ensure high productivity and efficiency. Ability to document information accurately as required for job functions.

Experience

Preferred: One year of experience in a business setting within the healthcare sector.

Minimum: One year of general business experience.

Licensure and Certification

Preferred: Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA).

Essential Skills

Minimum: Basic computer proficiency, capability to perform fundamental mathematical calculations. Typing speed of 25 words per minute. Exceptional customer service and communication abilities. Clear articulation and comprehension are essential.
