The Admissions Representative is responsible for gathering precise demographic, financial, and clinical data, entering it into the electronic system to establish comprehensive medical and financial records. This role involves applying financial criteria to ascertain and collect patient obligations. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently registers patients to maintain data integrity and facilitate claims processing.
- Implements financial screening protocols to ensure compliance with collection procedures specific to the facility.
- Aims to enhance patient flow through prompt and courteous service.
- Achieves assigned objectives and targets.
- Undertakes additional duties as required, including health screenings.
Education
Preferred: Associate's degree or completion of two years of college coursework.
Minimum: Proficient in clear and effective communication in standard English, both written and verbal, to ensure high productivity and efficiency. Ability to write legibly and accurately document information as necessary for job functions.
Experience
Preferred: One year of experience in a business role within a healthcare setting.
Minimum: One year of general business experience.
Licensure and Certification
Preferred: Certification as a Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA).
Essential Skills
Minimum: Basic computer proficiency, capability to perform fundamental mathematical calculations. Typing speed of 25 words per minute. Exceptional customer service and communication abilities. Clarity in speech and articulation is essential.
