Overview:
Yoh is seeking a Specialized Clinical Laboratory Scientist for a prominent client. In this role, you will act as a vital technical resource for both internal staff and external partners. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing and evaluating the technical work of colleagues.
  • Solving intricate technical challenges.
  • Creating educational protocols and training materials.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, you will:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations, as well as state and federal laws.
  • Conduct statistical analyses of laboratory tests utilizing advanced clinical laboratory techniques across various specialties including chemistry, biochemistry, and microbiology.
  • Interpret test results in relation to established guidelines and reference materials, making informed conclusions and conducting additional testing as necessary.
  • Perform a variety of clinical laboratory tests, ensuring accurate and reliable results for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
  • Maintain and perform operational checks on analytical equipment to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Provide expert consultation on test appropriateness and result interpretation.
  • Identify training needs and contribute to the professional development of laboratory personnel.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities in the absence of supervisory staff and participate in special projects.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Proficiency with laboratory analyzers and instruments.

Required Skills:
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in Special Chemistry.
  • Familiarity with CAP preparation and quality control review.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw conclusions from complex data.
  • Knowledge of laboratory methods, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Licenses and Certifications:
Possession of relevant Clinical Laboratory Scientist licenses is required.
