Job Overview
Crete Carrier Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supervisory Equipment Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the repair and maintenance of equipment, ensuring that all company and industry regulated policies, procedures, and practices are followed, and providing exceptional leadership to our technicians.Estimated Salary Range
$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and location.Responsibilities
The Supervisory Equipment Manager will be responsible for the following essential duties and responsibilities:• Directly supervising personnel to include training, planning, assigning work, appraising performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
• Ensuring that all company and industry regulated policies, procedures, and practices are followed.
• Organizing equipment, shop personnel, and work load to meet work requirements.
• Initiating and dispatching repair orders, scheduling warranty work, and conducting lot checks as needed.
• Assisting drivers with repair write-ups as needed.
• Ensuring regular maintenance and cleanliness of premises and that tasks are completed efficiently, effectively, and safely.
• Receiving and carrying out instructions with regular and predictable attendance.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:• Ability to read, write, talk, see, and hear.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. as required.
• Advanced knowledge and proficient use of a computer and computer programs.
• Ability to effectively supervise and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Education and Experience
Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; 3 years related experience and/or training; or a Bachelor of Applied Science in Diesel Technology; 1 year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid CDL Class A driver's license preferred. EPA Certification for Federal Clean Air Act 608 and 609 within 90 days of hire date.Work Environment and Other
The nature of the work environment may expose the employee to outside weather conditions, vibration, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold or heat, and excessive noise levels. Safety shoes (steel toe or composite) required.-
