We are seeking a skilled Master Mechanic to join our team in Columbus, NE. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment. This is a full-time, hourly position that offers a complete benefit package, including 401K/ESOP, pension, health, life, and dental insurance.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-3 years of industrial or commercial mechanical experience and/or a two-year degree. You must also be able to successfully complete all ADM Safety Certification requirements and have a basic knowledge of process equipment. Additionally, you will need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/sit/walk for extended periods, squat/kneel, climb stairs/ladders, operate vibrating equipment/power tools/assistive transfer devices, and work in a variety of environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc).

The salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for industrial equipment maintenance, we encourage you to apply.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Participate actively in safety and skills training to pursue personal improvement
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of production processes, equipment, and operations to diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions
  • Perform preventive maintenance duties on equipment as required and maintain a competent knowledge of equipment, operations, and processes throughout the plant
  • Disassemble and diagnose mechanical failures and perform repairs on production and facilities equipment as required
  • Install new equipment as required, align, rebuild, and perform preventative maintenance duties as necessary
  • Possess general computer use knowledge
  • Maintain manuals of replacement parts, specifications, blueprints of equipment, and maintenance requirements to facilitate repairs and maintain such files and records in an orderly manner for future reference
  • Develop knowledge of maintenance files, parts, and vendors, and access information on the department computer as required
  • Perform welding or general maintenance duties as required in repairing production equipment
  • May provide work direction to less experienced Maintenance Mechanics as required
  • Document time spent, work performed, and parts used on projects by completing time records through the use of the Maintenance Management System
  • Conduct regular inspections of tools, safety, and production equipment
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of hand and power tools used in the repair and maintenance of plant equipment
  • Good attendance record
  • May perform reasonably similar or related duties as required
