Position Summary:

This position is for a highly skilled and experienced engineer to join a talented, multidisciplinary team supplying precision vacuum pressure measurement instruments to the semiconductor, medical, and industrial equipment markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and release new vacuum sensing products that deliver market advantages in performance, cost, and size.
  • Lead or participate as a lead member of multi-disciplinary product teams, with full responsibility for the electronics development and release.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues to root cause and support the product team in resolution.
  • Develop and release products, identify product performance limitations and establish roadmaps to improvement.
Requirements:
  • Deep technical background in low-noise electronics and precision sensors, as well as significant experience with embedded microprocessors.
  • Extensive experience supporting multidisciplinary products.
  • Ability to logically work through challenging troubleshooting and problem-solving activities.
  • Strong product-level technical skills and some cross-discipline experience, including electronics, firmware, mechanical, and sensors.
  • Hands-on engineering skills, capable of test development, setup, and execution.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing systems and documentation control, BOM structures, and ECO processes.
Compensation and Benefits:

MKS Instruments offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance coverage, 401(k) with company match, life and disability insurance, 12 paid holidays, sick time, 15 paid vacation days, [6 weeks fully paid] parental leave, adoption assistance and tuition reimbursement.

This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS.
