Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Systems Technician to join our team at Lands' End. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for the safe repair and preventive maintenance of all HVAC equipment, including steam boilers, heat pumps, VAVs, cooling towers, and forced air systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • HVAC Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Building Automation Controls: Operate and maintain building automation controls to monitor and adjust HVAC systems as needed.
  • On-Call Responsibilities: Be available for on-call duties, including weekends and overtime, to ensure prompt response to HVAC system issues.
  • Training and Development: Organize and conduct training programs for apprentice HVAC technicians to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
  • Inventory Management: Manage HVAC parts inventory and prepare purchase order requests to ensure timely delivery of replacement parts.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance and work order documentation to track equipment performance and maintenance history.
  • Safety Protocols: Familiarize yourself with safety features of equipment and work in a safe manner at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with HVAC equipment.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics, extensive experience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices, knowledge of hydronic, steam, heat pump, and forced air heating systems, and mechanical and electrical systems troubleshooting experience.
  • Certifications: Must obtain certification to operate forklifts and all Lands' End motorized vehicles.
  • Availability: Must be able to work a 40-hour work week and be available for weekends and overtime as business needs arise.
