Job Summary
Lands' End is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for the safe repair and maintenance of all HVAC equipment, including steam boilers, heat pumps, VAVs, cooling towers, and forced air systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Operate building automation controls to monitor and adjust HVAC systems as needed.
- Respond to emergency calls and perform repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all HVAC equipment.
- Conduct training programs for apprentice HVAC technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Apply chemical treatment and filtration to enclosed loops to maintain system performance and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with HVAC equipment.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Extensive experience with hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices.
- Knowledge of hydronic, steam, heat pump, and forced air heating systems.
- Knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
- Mechanical and electrical systems troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions
The HVAC Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to mechanical and electrical systems. The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces is required. The technician must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
