Job Summary

The Program Director will be responsible for driving business growth, establishing and improving client relationships, and developing business opportunities across practice areas and service lines. This is a "seller-doer" role that requires a strong client focus and a deep understanding of the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and enhance existing client relationships to identify and initiate additional project opportunities.
  • Identify and create new client relationships that match the client and project type focus and overall business strategy.
  • Promote Woolpert as an industry leader for specified market/practice and service(s) with new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with other Program Directors, Project Managers, and others within Woolpert in the lifecycle of project identification and pursuit.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of firm presence at practice-related trade, professional, or civic marketing functions.
  • Support the creation of proposals and marketing material to support the firm's continued client strategy.
  • Assist project managers in negotiation of project schedule, fee, scope, and contract term.
  • Mentor Project Managers.
  • Work with Project Managers to identify, address, and resolve any project issues impacting client goals, objectives, and/or client satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Must have a BA/BS and 16 years related experience, MA/MS and 14 years related experience, or 20 years related experience.
  • Directly responsible for selling approximately $3,000,000 on an annual basis.
  • Must be mentally and physically capable of performing all essential duties required of the position.
  • Must be able to make sound decisions/recommendations based on the evaluation and synthesis of information and data.
  • Must demonstrate an enterprising, innovative, proactive management approach.
  • Must possess high levels of demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Must be able to research and define multiple project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain rapport with clients, vendors, management, and employees.
  • Must possess strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess excellent facilitation and/or meeting skills.
  • Must possess excellent presentation and communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Must have Microsoft Office suite skills.
  • Must be able to travel as required to meet the needs and demands of the practice.
