PrideStaff is seeking a highly skilled and bilingual individual to join our team as a Shop Helper. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will be responsible for assisting our Forklift Operator with loading and unloading trucks, as well as moving pipe within the yard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Forklift Operator with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring that all materials are properly secured and accounted for.
- Move pipe within the yard, following oral instructions to identify the correct pipe to be moved.
- Verify heat numbers, quantity, and complete chalking to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Observe and maintain necessary safety precautions for stacking and shipping of pipe for storage and transportation.
- Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed.
- Perform any other duties as requested by the respective supervisor and/or manager.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in an outside environment with minimal supervision.
- Stable work history, preferably in an industrial environment.
- Positive attitude and a good team member.
- Willingness to reliably fulfill the designated work schedule, including overtime.
- Fluency in Spanish is required.
Compensation: Up to $16.00 per hour.
