Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair complex automotive issues, including engine, transmission, and brake systems.
- Examine vehicles and discuss with customers, service advisors, or service managers the nature and extent of damage or malfunction.
- Plan work procedures using charts, technical manuals, diagnostic equipment, and experience.
- Remove, disassemble, inspect, repair, and replace units as required.
- Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrumental panels.
- Reline and adjust brakes, align front ends, and repair or replace shock absorbers.
- Replace and adjust headlights and install and repair accessories such as radios, heaters, mirrors, and windshield wipers.
- Work in a cooperative and professional manner with all personnel.
- Conform to the company's policy on non-discrimination and harassment.
- Greet all members of the public in a courteous and non-discriminatory manner and maintain a professional demeanor while on the job.
- Road test vehicles as needed before and/or after repair.
- Properly use all personal protective equipment.
- Adhere to the dealership's sexual harassment/non-discrimination policies and other policies in the dealership handbook.
- Maintain ongoing compliance with policies and procedures.
- Follow company standards regarding dress code/uniforms.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- After 60 days, employees will have 80% of basic medical through Regence, which includes vision and prescription coverage.
- Optional at-cost dental coverage.
- Optional at-cost several voluntary coverages, including long-term disability, short-term disability, accident, and life insurances.
- After one year, 401(k) with company contributions is available.
- After 90 days, employee discounts on vehicle purchases, parts, and service.
- Paid time off is accrued 1 hour for every 40 hours worked.
Hourly/Flat Rate Pay Range: $40.00
