Automotive Service Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Pep Boys. As a General Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing basic automotive services, including tire mounting and balancing, oil changes, and vehicle inspections. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair basic automotive issues, including brakes, alignments, and electrical systems
  • Perform tire maintenance, including mounting and balancing
  • Change engine oil and filter
  • Install batteries and check starting/charging systems
  • Repair flat tires and install wiper blades
  • Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities
  • Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
  • Clean and maintain an organized and neat shop

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Passion for a career as a Technician in the automotive industry
  • Eager to learn and competitive drive to succeed
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed
