Position Summary
The Respiratory Care Practitioner is tasked with delivering skilled respiratory care interventions to specific patient populations experiencing cardiopulmonary system deficiencies. This role necessitates advanced practitioner skills to manage complex patient care scenarios. Responsibilities include:
- Performing independent, professional respiratory care and ventilator management.
- Conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Evaluating clinical care and establishing therapy objectives tailored to patient needs.
- Operating autonomously with limited supervision.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy Training program.
- Registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in Washington State.
- Eligibility notice for RRT exam from NBRC is required.
- Advanced cardiac life support credential within 90 days of hire, depending on patient population: ACLS, NRP, PALS.
- Health Care Provider level CPR certification.
- A minimum of one (1) year of acute care experience in respiratory therapy and critical care as a CRT is preferred.
