Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Special Procedures Technician to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a key member of our Interventional Radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting physicians with minimally invasive procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, including fluoroscopic equipment, to ensure optimal performance and patient safety.
  • Monitor inventory and maintain a clean and organized procedure room and work area.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including explaining procedures and performing physical assessments.
  • Assist radiologists in administering medications and contrast agents intravenously.
  • Maintain sterile technique during Interventional Radiology procedures.
  • Review scans for technical accuracy and complete verification process in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT Certified (Cardiovascular/Interventional certification preferred).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Training and experience in special procedures.
