Role Overview:
As a Medical Imaging Technologist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing patient conditions by operating advanced imaging equipment to produce high-quality radiographs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing patients for imaging procedures through proper positioning and technique.
- Maintaining the quality and production standards of radiographs in accordance with established protocols.
- Documenting patient care services accurately in departmental records.
- Reviewing images for technical precision and anatomical correctness.
- Assisting radiologists with patient care, including the administration of medications and contrast agents.
- Participating in emergency call rotations as required by the department.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:
- An Associate's Degree or equivalent military training in Radiologic Technology.
- Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and a valid state license.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
- Membership in the American Society of Radiologic Technology is preferred.
