Job Overview

FLSA Status: Hourly (Non-exempt)

Hours per Week: 25 hours (Part-Time)

Location: Melbourne

Position Summary:

This role is essential in fostering community through exceptional food and beverage service. It is required that you are an active member of Calvary Chapel with consistent attendance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and assist patrons with their meal selections, inquiries, or feedback.
  • Manage transactions using the point of sale (POS) system for cash and credit card payments.
  • Ensure cash drawers are balanced at the conclusion of each shift.
  • Engage in the daily setup and cleanup of kitchen and service areas.
  • Maintain a clean and safe dining environment.
  • Restock supplies as needed.
  • Complete training on the operation of espresso machines and preparation of specialty beverages.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Supervisor.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities, with the capacity to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Adhere to established departmental guidelines regarding non-work-related activities during work hours.
  • Reliable team player who fosters collaboration and works effectively with individuals at all levels.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Active membership and regular attendance at Calvary Chapel is mandatory.
  • Approach all tasks with a servant's heart and a positive attitude.
  • Uphold the core values and mission of Calvary Chapel and agree to its Statement of Faith.
