Job Description

NYC Health + Hospitals is a leading public healthcare system in the United States, providing essential services to over one million New Yorkers annually. We are seeking a skilled Clinical Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing corporate-wide clinical/revenue cycle systems. This will involve managing and directing the collection and transformation of large quantities of information into meaningful business requirements, developing and modifying requirements documentation, and critically evaluating information from various sources.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical and revenue cycle systems, with experience in soliciting, defining, and managing requirements for internally and externally developed software. They will also possess excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to partner with business users, project managers, programmers, consultants, and IT leadership to optimize project scope, benefits, and risks.

The Clinical Revenue Cycle Systems Analyst will be responsible for training and mentoring lower-level analysts, taking on more complex issues, optimizations, and tickets, and leading and coordinating meetings. They will also act as a backup to the Assistant Director as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and document business requirements and processes
  • Communicate requirements to technical personnel
  • Develop status reports for submission to leadership
  • Provide technical and analytic expertise for the development of the Revenue Cycle System
  • Responsible for the daily monitoring and issue resolution of any system-related issues reported by end users
  • Interview end users, stakeholders, and project sponsors to assess business needs
  • Create business, functional, and technical requirements documents
  • Define external interfaces, constraints, quality issues, and other non-functional requirements
  • Ensure that all quality standards comply with internal policies and industry standards
  • Document changes to baseline requirements through standard change control process
  • Develop software test plans, technical requirements, release notes, user, and training guidelines
  • Coordinate and support unit acceptance testing and subsequent deployments
  • Perform end-user and application support functions
  • Lead in special projects as required
  • Implement opportunities for process improvements and provide analysis and propose change and communicate strategies

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree or advanced clinical degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience serving as a lead in soliciting, defining, and managing requirements for internally and externally developed software
  • Epic Certification in assigned module required
  • At least 3 full life-cycle implementations or major system upgrades is required
  • Experience as a Resolute Professional Billing Analyst
