Key Responsibilities:

As a Patient Care Technician, you will collaborate with skilled healthcare professionals, including some of the finest critical care nurses. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will perform essential tasks related to patient care, bedside assistance, and documentation.

  • Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bathing and oral care.
  • Respond promptly to patient calls and provide timely assistance.
  • Engage in hourly patient rounds.
  • Transport patients to various treatment areas as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of medical equipment and patient areas.
  • Ensure patient rooms are orderly and well-kept.
  • Manage supply levels as directed.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong understanding of patient needs, ensuring each individual feels valued and understood. A passion for delivering high-quality care and the ability to solve problems creatively in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience (3+ years).
  • State Tested/Registered Nursing Assistant Certification is required.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Prior experience in a hospital setting as a nursing assistant or in a related role is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of basic nursing techniques, aseptic practices, and cardiopulmonary techniques.

Nursing students may be considered for this role if permitted by state regulations.
