We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to fill the role of Caregiver for Developmental Disabilities at Northeast Kingdom Human Services in Burke, VT. As a member of our residential staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our residents.

Your primary responsibilities will include providing personal care and support, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as assisting with daily living tasks like meal preparation and household management. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment within the group home, adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation standards.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate caregiver to join our team at Northeast Kingdom Human Services in Burke, VT. In this role, you will provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their independence and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming;
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and household management;
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment within the group home;
  • Work collaboratively with other caregivers and support staff to ensure seamless delivery of services;
  • Document resident progress and report any concerns or issues to supervisors;

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required;
  • Previous experience working with developmentally disabled individuals is preferred but not essential;
  • You must be able to support individuals with challenging behaviors;
  • You must be willing to work nights and weekends;
  • A valid driver's license and appropriate vehicle insurance are mandatory;
