Company Summary:

Pilot Thomas Logistics is a prominent distributor of fuel and oil across multiple states, servicing both wholesale and retail sectors. Our operations span several states, ensuring efficient delivery of refined fuels and oils to our diverse clientele.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough pre and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers.
  • Safely operate various sizes and models of tanker trucks, both loaded and empty.
  • Efficiently load and unload cargo.
  • Handle hoses properly, including hooking and unhooking.
  • Operate pumps and valves for loading and unloading tasks.
  • Fill tanks of various types and sizes using appropriate hoses and fittings.
  • Utilize hand tools such as pipe wrenches and hammers safely.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, trip forms, invoices, and other necessary documentation.
  • Engage courteously with managers, dispatchers, colleagues, and customers.

Additional Duties:
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Perform other related tasks as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Possession of a Class A CDL with hazmat endorsements.
  • Current DOT medical certification.
  • A minimum of one year of full-time, verifiable experience driving tractor-trailer tankers.
  • No more than two moving violations in the past three years; no felonies in the last five years; no DUI offenses in the last five years.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Able to navigate off-road conditions and narrow, steep roads.
  • Capability to install tire chains in adverse weather conditions.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Successful completion of an in-truck driving assessment.

Working Environment:
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including day and night shifts.
  • Capability to safely climb ladders and access truck tanks.
  • Able to stand or sit for prolonged periods.
  • Physical ability to lift weights ranging from 50 to 100 lbs.
